Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection and Bitdefender Identity Theft?
What do they offer? And which should I pick?
Hello,
This is the bottom line difference:
What is the difference between Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection and Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection?
Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection and Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection are not identical. Although some of their functions overlap, such as Dark Web and Social Media monitoring, they target different things. Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection monitors your digital footprint to prevent data breaches and improve your online privacy. On the other hand, Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection focuses on credit monitoring to help you avoid becoming a credit fraud and identity theft victim.

So, it can just depend on your needs and what you're looking for.
If you have any other questions, one of the Mods here or @Alexandru_BD can follow up with more information as needed.

Hello.
Before making a decision, keep in mind this: Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection is available for US only. Registration requires a valid Social Security Number.
Regards.
While both Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection and Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection are designed to safeguard your digital identity, they differ in their focus and approach:
Bitdefender Digital Identity Protection
Bitdefender Identity Theft Protection
In summary:
The best choice for you depends on your specific needs and priorities. If you're primarily concerned about your online privacy and want to prevent data breaches, Digital Identity Protection is a good option. If you're more focused on credit monitoring and financial security, Identity Theft Protection may be a better fit.
I forget, is it still just in using one SS number, or has BD allowed more than one with Identity Theft Protection?
TIA :)
@Scott
Hey. :)
I don't live in the USA and i'm using Digital Identity Protection.
But, as far as i know, only one SS number (one account) can be used.
Since I have a Bitdefender Ultimate Security Plus subscription, I was able to check the required information. You can only use one SSN per account.
Thank you @Flexx and @Gjoksi as I remember at one time that being a concern for some of the members inquiring about it, i.e. no option for a husband and and wife to be on the same subscription, but that they would each need to have separate accounts for their separate SS numbers.
:)
