Can't access Yahoo Mail while Bitdefender VPN is connected

and when I disconnect the VPN it refreshes and is available immediately.

This situation pertains to both Google Chrome and Firefox, so I assume it is browser agnostic. Ditto devices (ie. HP desktop and Windows surfacePro). Ditto operating system as I checked it on an old machine running Windows8.1.

Both Chrome and Bitdefender set to auto-update. As is the o/s Windows10.

Had a quick scan of the forum but couldn't find a fix so any help will be valued as I'm not a tech person!

as per step 2 from the article I used "Split Tunneling" except on point 4 instep of apps I added two websites I routinely use (yahoo mail & a national chain supermarket) and it worked fine.
