Bitdefender VPN blocks all internet access on one of my 15 devices!`
Hi
Out of my fifteen devices, I have only one out of seven similar Dell desktops with the above issue.
All are running win 11 home, four with version 23H2 and two running 24H2.
Only one desktop running 23H2 has the above problem, it is 12 months old and has been running well until a couple of weeks ago. Occasionally it would seem to hang and the user quickly restarted, which allowed the user to continue. Today it refused to allow any internet access!
I found that on the desktop demonstrating the issue you could open Bitdefender VPN via the Dashboard and it showed that the VPN was already open and running, if you turned it off on the VPN panel, then Internet access would become immediately available.
In Win 11 - Setting - Network & Internet - VPN: Showed no VPN connections and both Advanced switches were ON which also needed to be off.
What Bitdefender settings should I review to ensure this does not repeat on the other desktops?

Hi.
I am having similar issues with my new windows 11 pro computer.
To load pages using the chrome browser I have to disconnect the VPN briefly to allow connection. After a while this does come a bit boring as it it involves a frustrating and unnecessary step in a workload.
My windows 10 computer did not have these issues.
I am not certain how to resolve this problem in the VPN settings. Please can anyone help me to resolve this issue for me.

I had this issue in the past and this sounds like it could be your browser settings. Try going into your security settings and turn off "Enable DNS over HTTPS"… it even specifies to turn it off when using VPN, at least it does in Firefox
