Bitdefender Notifications

Hey Community,
I currently have bitdefender mobile security..Almost daily, I get numerous notifications stating there is a "Configuration Issue" on one of my devices. When I tap on report or issue it tells me nothing, so I don't know if this is something I need to look into. If I had some way of knowing any details and how to resolve it I would but it never is. Is this normal to have those notifications such as the above mentioned or is it a bug perhaps?The device in question is Samsung Galaxy A32 5G..

Hi,
Try reinstalling the BMS app first, then remove the mobile device from Central to free up the slot, and reinstall protection on your Samsung afterwards. Make sure to grant the required permissions during the install process and check if the configuration issue is solved.

You could try to reinstall the BMS app and check if the issue persists afterwards. The app does require some permissions in order to work properly, so if not all of them were granted from start, I think it's possible to get such errors. These can indicate a permissions or settings issue, but the lack of detailed information makes it challenging to resolve..
When installing Bitdefender on your Android device, Mobile Security needs the following permissions:
- Internet access: used for cloud communication.
- Read phone state and identity: used to detect if the device is connected to the internet and to extract certain device info needed to create a unique ID when communicating with Bitdefender cloud.
- Read and write browser bookmarks: The Web Protection module deletes malicious sites from your browsing history.
- Read log data: Bitdefender Mobile Security detects traces of threat activities from the Android logs.
- Location: required for remote location.
- Camera: required for Snap photo.
- Storage: used to allow the Malware Scanner to check the SD card.
Let us know if reinstalling the app solved this. If the issue persists, contact Bitdefender Support. They can provide insight into what the notification refers to and help troubleshoot further. You can get in touch with the Support representatives using the link below:

For this specific issue, I have not ununistalled and reinstalled the app but I have 2 times in recent months for a different issue I had, and at that time, I was having this issue only I didn't know it wasn't normal. In your opinion, should I try another uninstall/reinstall again before contacting support? Should I just uninstall/reinstall the mobile security app or the central app as well?

I'm happy to report it's been almost 3 days and no excessive notifications like before. Three days is a record! So I'm hopeful this simple solution will work
