Cannot connect Win 11 PC with an Android Windows Phone Link

Cannot connect my ASUS Win 11 PC with a Samsung S22 Android using Windows Phone Link.

It works periodically then disconnects and I cannot connect them.

Is Bitdefender / VPN the issue?

I am using Phone Link version 1.24112.110.0

I cannot find PhoneExperienceHost.exe on my PC.
Which folder is it in?

Hello,

Open Task Manager or Process Explorer to find the file path for it. I'm on the same Phone Link version as you, but I use a different VPN, so I won't be able to take you any further than this.

But if it's an issue apart from the VPN, you could always try adding the app into Antivirus exceptions, including and maybe especially the .EXE file into Advanced Threat Defense exceptions to see if that helps.

I am unable to access the WindowsApp folder in Windows Explorer.

And when I attempt to change it's permissions, I get an "access control is corrupt" message.

You may only be able to access it in Safe Mode, but you would not be able to add anything into Bitdefender VPN exceptions or Bitdefender itself, so in that sense, it's not even worth it.

I would get ahold of support (Troubleshooting & How To's), and see what they have to say, unless @Alexandru_BD will have any follow-up thoughts tomorrow.
