Can Bitdefender block a Windows Security Virus & Threat Protection offline system scan? If so, why??? This is my second laptop in the past four years to be hacked and taken over by remote hackers. Their malware and malicious files are embedded deep in the Windows 11 system at the registry level. How can Bitdefender help me clean out my system registry? Does Bitdefender have the capability to do a full offline system scan and remove hard-to-remove apps and malicious files? I also have Malwarebytes Premium and Nord VPN, but nothing stops the hackers from installing new remote connections. They always start by disabling my security features and then my boot files. I've had this laptop for three years and have had to replace the hard drive three times. The most recent was in October 2024. I'm retired on a fixed income now and can no longer afford to purchase a new laptop every two or three years.

That sounds like a handful, sorry to hear this. Did you manage to figure out why are they targeting you and what exactly are they looking for?

Rescue Environment is a Bitdefender feature that allows you to scan and remove stubborn threats that cannot be eliminated while the operating system is running. Advanced malware can camouflage itself among other legitimate processes running onto the system, which dramatically increases discovery and disinfection times. Rootkits – for example – are designed to conceal their presence and need to be removed before Windows starts.

Note: Bitdefender Rescue Environment is only available in Windows 10 and later.

When Bitdefender finds an infection on your computer, it usually takes automatic action against it and gets rid of the malware without requiring any input on your side.
