How do I get rid of "Jollypulse" malware

My Windows PC has recently been infected with a malware virus?…it continually shows pop up adds for Mcfee antivirous software in the bottom right hand corner of the screen…I'm sure the adds are bogus

Yesterday I bought Bitdefender Antivius Plus to get rid of this malware…I have continually run scans and they tell me my PC is clean??

Now this malware is all over the world….the adds on my PC show the name of the malware provider jollypulse.co.nz..google it

Can anyone explain why Bitdefender cant remove it

To add here, the notifications and pop-ups in this situation do not have anything malicious attached to them, but when you click on them, they will redirect to malicious sites that try to collect your data or install abusive or dangerous software. Bitdefender or any antivirus cannot take any direct measures related to this type of notifications, such as adware that you agreed on or something you enabled, like site setting, site notification, redirects in your browser or installed toolbars, extensions or applications.

I recommend Ublock Origin to block ads, and also recommend using the Bitdefender Anti tracker extension, to stop tracking cookies.
A browser reset and removing unwanted extensions from it should be enough as these notifications and pop-ups are always browser related.

Hello again.

To add here, this is my winning combination against adware:

Google Chrome + uBlock Origin Lite

and

Mozilla Firefox + uBlock Origin

And i never (i really mean NEVER) had any issues with adware (notifications, adds, pop-ups, browser redirects, etc.).
