Uninstall re-install Bitdefender Total security

Did some searching and it looks like there is an uninstall tool?

Is the newest 2023?

how do I know what year/ version I have just says in account Bitdefender Total security

then how do i re-install….do i log in at Bitdefender.com with my account?

how many installs do i get? looks like it's down to 3 total from 5, or it might have been 10. I still have BD partially installed on my phone. one of the reasons I am doing this I was told that when i reinstall on my main PC it will ask for a PIN.

They said that PIN is the PIN I need when I try to enable any option on my phone when it asks for a PIN.

so do I need to remove the partially installed BD on my phone too?

How does BD know what your main PC is when i do a uninstall / reinstall

    You can download the uninstall tool from here https://www.bitdefender.com/links/uninstall_consumer_paid.html .

    There is no limit in how many times you can uninstall and reinstall the app, after you uninstall the app using the bitdefender uninstaller remove the device form the devices tap in the bitdefender central then download the latest version from central and install the app.

    I don't know about the PIN question you asked, I'll tag @Alexandru_BD to check on it.

    The latest is indeed the 2023 uninstaller.

    You can simply download the Bitdefender Consumer Product Uninstaller from https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2023_Uninstall_Tool.exe, and it will take care of all Bitdefender products installed on a consumer PC, whether it's Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, Bitdefender Internet Security, or Bitdefender Total Security developed to date. It will also uninstall Bitdefender Antivirus Free for Windows

    1. How do I know what year/ version I have just says in account Bitdefender Total security? - Product versioning has been discontinued, but updates ensure you receive the latest version available.
    2. Then how do i re-install? Do I log in at Bitdefender.com with my account? - You can install/reinstall protection directly from your Central account.
      All you have to do is open your browser, go to https://central.bitdefender.com/ and sign in.
    3. How many installs do I get? - This depends on how many slots your subscription/license has. If you are unsure, you can always check this under the "My Subscriptions" tab in your Central account. Here's the complete guide for Bitdefender Central:

    Depending on what PIN is requested, follow the relevant steps:

    I forgot the PIN code that I set to protect my application. What do I do?

    4. Retrieve the PIN code from the Application PIN field.

    If you wish to change the PIN code you set for App Lock and Anti-Theft:

    1. Tap More  More on the bottom navigation bar.

    2. Tap Settings .

    3. Tap Security PIN CODE in the Anti-Theft area.

    4. Type in the current PIN code.

    5. Type in the new PIN code you want to set.
