VPN Need to resolve error code 2

BItdefender VPN installed and worked fine for years.
2/10/2025 After an update to the VPN, no longer connects to automatic server (USA) Also will not connect to Canada or Belgium.
"An error occurred while trying to connect (error code 2)."
Summary: Was working just fine. I made no changes whatsoever to the computer. After update, no joy in connecting. Have followed much of the instructions in the reference article (Fix Bitdefender VPN errors 182, 99, 12, 9, 4, 2 & more) except for messing with router.
Need help. Why did the update cause a working VPN to start failing?
Please advise.
EDIT: I need guidance to uninstall VPN update as previously working VPN now will not connect after update 2/10/2025. Error code 2 reported.
