Recent Bitdefender update has made VPN stop working.

Recent update has stopped my VPN for working on Windows 7 (yes, I know its unspported etc)

After a recent VPN update, my VPN stopped connecting creating some internet connection problems. The internet works fine before connecting to the VPN, however, when I run the VPN it doesn't connect and then stops the internet from working. I have run through all the troubleshooting suggestions by Bitdefender and still no luck. I ran some checks on the router and this hasn't solved the problem. I have the software installed on 3 other devices (Windows 11) and they all work fine. The laptop is an obsolete EEE notebook 32bit running Windows 7 sp1 (I know) I just use it for simple downloading tasks, but was working perfectly fine before the update which leads me to presume it's a software problem but wasn't sure if I was missing something.

  • Bitdefender did an update now my VPN times out and will not use the VPN,

  • same here, my vpn is not connecting

  • Same issue since September 2024. VPN update is root cause…..tech support doesn't exist, just people to transfer you around to others with the same intent.

  • Any improvements? Mine isn't working either.

  • My VPN quit working too. It asks me to sign in and then asks me to allow the network extension (which I do) and then, nothing….

    I click on connect again and it takes me right back to the sign in screen.

    This started after then Mac OS Sequoia 15.3.1 update over the weekend.

  • same here. Laptop VPN stopped connecting after update, but my mobile phone still connected. A few minutes ago, Bitdefender notified me of another update. Now my phone won’t connect to VPN either! This is beyond frustrating. I’m about ready to ditch Bitdefender Premium altogether if they can’t fix issues!
