SecurePass Pop-Ups and Broken USERID

SecurePass has started displaying a pop-up soon after signing into a website. The pop-up asks:

"Want us to keep your login details safe in Bitdefender SecurePass? Yes No"

This pop-up seems real weird. I have either just used SecurePass to log into the website, or logged in manually. Why is this pop-up happening? Is this actually malware pretending to be SecurePass?

Also, starting a few days ago, SecurePass no longer offers or fills in the USERID at a website. This makes using SecurePass basically useless. It will offer and fill in the password, but without the USERID, then you can't complete the log-in. What is going on with SecurePass? It has more problems now than when it was first launched.

    Hello.

    My specs:

OS Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x64 With Latest Windows Updates Installed

    OS Build 19045.5487

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19061.1000.0

BD SecurePass 1.1.16 On Google Chrome 133.0.6943.127 x64

I'm also facing the same issue and it started happening a few days ago, when SecurePass was updated from version 1.1.15 to 1.1.16.

Here i have 3 (three) accounts and it doesn't offer to choose which account to fill in:

Here i have 5 (five) accounts and it doesn't offer to choose which account to fill in:

Here i have 1 (one) account and it doesn't offer to fill in:

Again, i didn't face this kind of issue with the previous version 1.1.15.

    Let's wait a reply from @camarie, @dvsls or/and @Alexandru_BD, as they work for Bitdefender.

    Regards.

    Hello!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by our latest release. Regarding the scenario where SecurePass keeps offering to save the credentials of an already existing account has also been identified by us and will be fixed with the next release.

When it comes to form filling with already saved credentials - we are very grateful for the examples, as we will use them to expand SecurePass's form detection and filling capabilities.

    Thank you!

  • Thanks for the follow-up. Just to be clear, this USERID problem is something new. It is broken on forms that previously were working fine. So, this is not some form detection problem of new forms, but some new problem where SecurePass is ignoring MOST USERID fields on ALL forms (even forms that were working fine on the previous version).

We have reproduced this behaviour and are actively working on fixing it and bringing the fix to production. Thank you for the examples and your patience while we address this 🙏

  • I have the same issue with the form fill-in. Pages that worked with Password manager fail with secure pass, in that the username (userid) is not seeded into the form. The password is correctly seeded.

Sites that do not work are:

    https://cloud.alphaess.com/index

    https://ob.greatsouthernbank.com.au/ib/5607470765a8f668139768eb710057ac/LoginAuth.action

A note is that sites that present the username field separately work correctly. e.g. https://secure.agl.com.au/u/login/identifier?state=hKFo2SBCYjJKY1hzVkZOb2JJNC1WQUpESHNJalZ4eU9iXzdIV6Fur3VuaXZlcnNhbC1sb2dpbqN0aWTZIHdmcEExWVFFaFJadlVpdEZBQkVfSkM4bXJ6ZUJGV3hMo2NpZNkgQ3F6Y21acEFaOThtZ3pHQ0JCRTh0bzJOTzFaSE1iQUo

Hope this helps you find the solution.

    Craig
