  • I have problems connecting to amazon.co.uk with vpn on. But if I set the vpn to Paris France then success. I do the same for currys as well😉

  • Hi,

It sounds like you've covered the usual reasons why the website cannot be accessed with a VPN connection:

I would also check if the ad-blocker and anti-tracker are enabled in the VPN app as well, and try to access the page with both options disabled. Then, if you are using the Anti-tracker browser extension, turn it off or pause protection for that site, as it might interfere with how the Amazon page is being displayed:

Keep in mind that certain services and websites may have mechanisms that block VPN traffic.

    I hope this helps.

im getting this with google and amazon. since recent update its been getting worse at first i could still use google to search but now that times out as long as vpn is connected.. oddly if i connect to france i can access amazon but google still times out. happens a lot on sites where i have to pay for things such as bills. i have tried resetting vpn but with no success. will give reinstalling it a try. anti tracker on or off makes no difference. this only started hapening after the update from last week or so.

at least for now reinstall seems to fix the issue.

Amazon will not connect with VPN running. Amazon has been in the Split Tunneling for as long as I have had the product (years). Just started today March 7th 2025. Tried on 3 different browsers and change VPN location multiple times. Even used different DNS servers without any success.

Amazon works OK for me now while vpn is on. When it doesn't work with vpn is when I click a link from another page. Most likely because the click through has a tracker in it?

    Topaz,

Thanks. I finally just got frustrated and uninstalled the VPN, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted. Working like a charm. Windows works much better than it used to, but can still be a bit wonky. Probably a bad registry entry related to the VPN. That's the only reason I can think that an uninstall/reinstall would fix it.

    Thanks Again,

  • funny thing turning off split tunneling for amazon made it work propperly again can even use prime video with no issues. but recently i cannot use google for searching

    PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

get this every time. says that its google killing the connection for what ever reason.(probably detects vpn)

  • This is strange. When I get that with itv.com it's because connection is not secure. But when it happens Thunderbird fetches the emails. Turn vpn off and on again then itv.com works but thunderbird needs to be closed and opened a few times to fetch the emails?

I also notice that when 'connection is not secure' error occurs the wifi connection icon (in the win 11 sys tray) shows normal?

  • yeah its weird never had any errors like this until reacent updates. thing with google might be policy changes since they want to sell ur info again from what i heard (might be roumor) my google issue is kinda random though somtimes it works somtimes not. and im useing wired connection to pc since its faster.

  • I tried using Paris France as my VPN location. That allowed me to access Amazon with the VPN on but, I started having other problems with my VPN logging in so I uninstalled and reinstalled the VPN. Seems to be working ok now.

    Thanks for everyone's input
