Full Scan stuck

I saw a few years ago the Full Scan was getting stuck. We, it’s happening again.

  • also, if you have a d riveprotected with bitlocker, unlock it before you open bitdefender otherwise, it will not unlock.

    I think this behavior will require a more in-depth investigation, and the Support engineers can help you with that.
    Because there can be multiple reasons behind this, for example system changes or recent updates, recently installed programs, or specific programs which may cause a conflict, and the Support teams will first have to find out if the scan always crashes at the same point, for example when scanning a particular file or folder, or if it gets stuck randomly. So, my recommendation would be to get in touch with them using the link below:

    State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.

  • I've noticed this too - this has been happening on separate machines running Windows11.

    Also when you plug in an external HDD (large capacity) via USB - it doesn't mount. If in completely uninstall Bitdefender then it mounts fine.

  • My Full scan gets stuck also, but quick scan works. Tried uninstall/reinstalling, no luck. Running BDTS, W11 Home, latest updates. Pls fix this BD.

    To get immediate update, make use of the chat option. Bitdefender support may require logs and will assist you in generating them.

    Also, ensure you do not have any ad-blocker or privacy-blocker extensions enabled, as they might prevent the chat window from appearing.
