VPN Quit Working After Mac OS X Sequoia 15.3.1 Update

Bitdefender was working perfect for a few years now right up until this weekend when my MacBook Pro (M1 Max, 64 GB Ram) received an update to Sequoia 15.3.1.

Now the VPN will not connect. When I click on connect it asks me to Sign In (which I do) and then it asks me to allow the network extension (which I do) and then…. nothing…

Every time I click on Connect it takes me through the same process.

I have restarted my laptop several times. I've made sure, in the System Settings, that the network extension is indeed allowed. I've verified my login credentials. My account is paid up until May 2025.

I have the same problem since 15.3.1

  • Hello,

The VPN team tried to reproduce this behavior locally with the macOS 15.3.1 update, but did not encounter the issue described above. The app version would prove useful, so I think the best way to move forward would be to reach out to Bitdefender Support, to extract further information from the app logs, and assist remotely, if possible.

Kindly use the link below to get in touch with them:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/

State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them. Let them know this behavior was previously tested by us and refer them to this thread, if necessary.

    Thank you.
