scanning & repair of thumb drive still ongoing after more than 19 hours

received message that thumb drive had some problem & scanning & repair was needed. it is now over 19 hours that this thumb drive is being scanned & the scan is still ongoing.

how long will it take to fully scan this thumb drive? is this normal?
