Bitdefender Internet Security and Windows 11

Hello,

As a long time user, I have a current Bitdefender Internet Security subscription. The user guide in the product (dated 2023) doesn't list Windows 11 as a supported OS - it stops at W10. Does that mean that Internet Security is not supported by Bitdefender on W11 ?

Thanks.

    Hi @Paisley227

Yes, all the home security products are Windows 11 compatible. I'm not sure of what the exclusion of Windows 11 in the guide is about? The below is taken from the website:

    System Requirements

    Bitdefender INTERNET SECURITY

    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Operating System: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11

    Memory (RAM): 2 GB

Available free hard disk space: 2.5 GB free space

*System performance may be affected on devices that have old generation CPUs

    SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

    Internet Explorer version 11

    Kind regards

@Alexandru_BD I hadn't noticed it before, but @Paisley227 is right, Windows 11 is missing from the guides, including Total Security. Would you check into it, please? Thanks :)

  • Hi all,

Thanks for the responses. I assume this is classed as a doc error, and that my Internet Security version (27.0.47.271) is certified on W11 ?

Yes, it absolutely is, otherwise Bitdefender wouldn't have released it to the general public. It was just a document that wasn't updated, yet. Bitdefender has created multiple online articles that have been receiving greater attention than the "pdf" version. Since there hasn't been any major changes with the App since at least ~Windows 10, it was simply "forgotten" to update those docs.

And thank you, @Paisley227, for bringing it to our attention :)

    Cheers

Yes, as you can imagine, once a new system version is available, or whenever the Bitdefender portfolio is enhanced with new products or features, there's a lot of documentation that needs to be updated, so there are hundreds of support articles in the knowledge base that must be reviewed and edited by the technical writers to reflect the changes, and the same applies for the user guides. The information should be updated as soon as possible.

    Thanks!
