VPN Not Connection Error 9 iPhone

iphone VPN will not connect

Has been working for a while and now won't connect. Tried uninstall and the other troubleshooting steps to no avail.

    I removed the iPhone Bitdefender VPN app and I still see a VPN active in the "settings vpn" menu. Actually I see two,

    "Bitdefender Wireguard Configuration" and "Web Protection Mobile Security"

    I don't have a clue what's going on here. I deleted the app and rebooted the phone. In "Settings VPN" it's saying VPN Status is connected. When I reinstalled the iPhone Bitdefender APP I got errors, so I deleted it again.

    Wireguard configuration would be the VPN protocol and Web Protection is also displayed under the VPN settings, because the feature actually uses a special VPN to filter all Internet traffic by scanning the connections for malicious and fraudulent content, so it will also trigger the VPN symbol on your iOS device when active.

    If the VPN app was completely removed from your iPhone, then I think these should be cleared as well following this. Go to Settings → VPN & Device Management → VPN and you should be able to remove those VPN configurations from there, simply tap on "information" next to them and select "Delete VPN".

    Then try to reinstall the Bitdefender VPN app from scratch and check how it goes.

    After reinstalling, if the Bitdefender VPN still doesn’t connect, make sure the necessary permissions were granted to the app.
