Why am I not getting a different IP address from Bitdefender's VPN service?
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well today.
I was a Kaspersky user until I received an email from the company informing me that I needed to change my service provider due to the US ban. Kaspersky suggested that I purchase a Bitdefender subscription, as it was likely to function similarly to Kaspersky. Everything has been fine except for the VPN service. When I use it, I only receive an IP address from my own country (Venezuela), which is completely useless for making payments. This is because there are restrictions in my country, similar to those imposed on Russia, which have affected Kaspersky’s services.
Initially, while using Bitdefender, I was assigned IP addresses from other Latin American countries. These were fine, as I only use the service once every two months to pay for a subscription. However, now I only get IP addresses from Venezuela, which renders the service useless and not as promised to function like Kaspersky.
Is this a problem with the service?
Thank you very much for any help with this issue.

Hello @apolousm and welcome to Bitdefender and the community.
Are you using the standard VPN that comes with your Bitdefender subscription, or the Premium version?
The standard version included by default in your Bitdefender product on Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS offers 200 MB daily traffic per device and automatically connects you to the optimal server, without having the possibility to change it. With the Premium VPN subscription you get unlimited traffic and the option to connect to any available server. The server list includes 54 countries across the globe and for some countries, Bitdefender VPN can be used to select a specific city.
