How to switch Bitdefender Total Security to Bitdefender Premium Security

Allô, I already have Total Security and need to renew it next month.

I'd like to switch to Premium Security.

How do I do this?

"You can upgrade your Bitdefender Total Security subscription to Bitdefender Premium Security subscription, while the Total Security subscription is still active."

Apparently, that statement isn't true - at least for a Family plan.     So, I guess I wonder how you were able to do that - as no one I talk to in Support has any clue how to do that.

And the "2nd level" said that I have to deactivate the Total Security, then activate the Premium Security.   Which of course leaves all my devices unprotected for the period of time needed to do all that and reallocate all the devices to the new subscription….     Assuming it still lists all my devices and that I don't have to go to each one to do something as well…

Not great for a security company - to force me to expose my devices simply to upgrade.

Any suggestions on how to do what you said in the quote at the top would be much appreciated - possible that I just need to talk to the right person in Support??

@gjoksi Well, unfortunately in an hour long chat, the person didn't know how to upgrade directly (wish I had read your note first and insisted).    So, I ended up buying Premium Security, but of course then it wouldn't activate since I still had family Total Security - stupid…

So, now some "2nd level" person has to get back to me to fix the mess…

Upgrading should just be trivial directly from the website like anywhere else - you would think they would want me to upgrade  (yes, long time user)….

Sigh…
