Bitdefender Email - Outlook No Longer Works

Look! Up in the sky!
Once I enabled email scanning, my Live.com email no longer works for sending emails. I can receive, but I cannot send.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Bitdefender and Office365 - nothing works. Again, this is ONLY for sending emails.
Thoughts? It has dramatically hindered my productivity!!

I should have commented that I have tried disabling VPN and turning off WEB SCAN. This only happened after I allowed Bitdefender to scan my emails. I did change the setting to only scan INCOMING emails, but that did not work either.
Once again, I have uninstalled both Office and Bitdefender with no luck getting emails to SEND.
