Access to Google

edited April 22 in VPN

I am about to cancel Bitdefender as it blocks all access to Google. I added the domain to the Exception list. if I turn off VPN, then I am able to login to my Google account and access Google Maps. Does anyone have a solution?

    Hello.

If you have Bitdefender Anti-Tracker installed and enabled, follow the steps from this article:

If you have Bitdefender VPN installed and enabled, follow the steps from this article:

  • Hi,

I think it shouldn't really be necessary to route Google traffic outside the VPN tunnel to gain access to your account, obviously you should have access by default even when connected to a VPN.
I would first try to change the DNS and see if this solves the problem:

Let us know how it goes.

  • Switching to OpenVPN protocol solved my problem with direct google search failing from the browser address bar.

  • Yes, some websites may not work with certain VPN protocols due to differences in IP addresses, traffic detection, routing, or firewall rules. Switching to a different protocol can help bypass these restrictions.

I'm glad to hear you've managed to solve the problem. I'll go ahead and close this thread.

    Thanks for following up. 👍️
