Variable duration of the full scan

Hi, you might be curious to understand why the times of the full scan are very variable. The first full scan I did after installing Bitdefender lasted about 2 hours and 30 minutes (more or less). Another full scan I did later after a few months lasted about 2 hours. While yesterday I did a full scan that lasted over 3 hours... Since I had to go to sleep and after 3 hours and 37 minutes it had not finished scanning, I blocked it and turned off the PC.

Why does it behave like this?
In any case, a time of more than 3 hours is too much for a scan of a 512 Mb SSD. Of course the processor is not the latest generation (Intel Core 2 Duo) but with Avast (for example) it never took more than 1 hour and 30 minutes.
