Protection - Malware/ Firmware/etc.

The website won't open.

Hello,

I'm using the antivirus program well, but I'm having trouble opening some websites.

If possible, please try to open these two websites and check if turning off the firewall exceptions or web protection helps:

  1. test 1: [removed buy admin]
  2. test 2: [removed by admin]

Usually, I can open the site the first time with a new browser, but after I close and open it again, I get an error like in the screenshot I attached.

I tried many things, even on mobile, but nothing worked.
I also reinstalled the computer and turned off all real-time protection options, but the problem is still there.

Please check and let me know how to fix it.

Thank you.

  • Hello @Ataraxia77,

Please be advised I have removed the urls from your post, as they were labelled as 'not secure', and we don't want to take any chances. Obviously, we're not going to try them with the firewall or web protection disabled, out of common sense. 😎

Now, a '406 not acceptable' response means that the server received a request whose 'Accept' headers (the content types the client says it can handle) do not match any content formats that the server can generate in its response. In other words, the server is able to process the request but cannot return the data in a format acceptable to the client’s 'Accept' header. Certain application frameworks or server configurations can produce a 406 if, for example, an endpoint only serves HTML, but the client asks for JSON. Or a reverse proxy might strip or modify headers, leading to a mismatch. Or, the client requests a content type the server doesn’t support or cannot convert to, so the server returns 406 to indicate no suitable format is available.

I don't think this issue is actually caused by the antivirus.. but in any case, both urls look dubious enough, although the link checker doesn't seem to flag them.
