Menage exceptions

Hello I am trying to install a software and is nearly impossible.
I did create an exception for the installer but the problem is on the process when installing it.

The installer create a temp folder in appdata\local that rename it everytime with new name folder.

I don't have the time to create a exception.
If I try to disable all together bitdefender there are so many checkbox and still can get to install it.
would be a nice feture to disable with one button bitdefender or disable bitdefender on the process of an installer to block it an all the exe and subdirectory that create.

If the traditional methods of excluding that .exe don't make a difference, perhaps you can uninstall Bitdefender, install the desired software (if known to be safe, of course), then reinstall Bitdefender and add the relevant exceptions for Antivirus and ATD. This would be the first workaround I can think of, and probably the fastest way to do it.
There are of course ways to disable the antivirus temporarily, mostly for troubleshooting purposes, but like I said, if this doesn't work and the software still can't be installed, then uninstalling and reinstalling could be an option..

Well it's quite work, to just install a software, that normally it take less then 15 sec to install it.
I hope new update bring a more easy way to overcome this.

Hi,

To be clear, this isn't really the standard procedure when installing other software alongside Bitdefender, it's more of a workaround, since obviously that software behaves in a way that triggers some defenses in Bitdefender, or maybe there's an incompatibility somewhere. We can't possibly know for sure without taking a closer look, and this is something the Support teams can do. But if the proposed workaround does the job, then I think this is just a corner case where Bitdefender just didn't like what that software was doing when it was trying to install its components, but adding exceptions for it later on can mitigate any further issues with the program you wish to use.

As for the request, if the software you are trying to install is being detected as malicious right from the start, then yes, you could submit a sample to Bitdefender Labs for analysis. Should you wish to do this, you can use the form available at the link below:

Once confirmed, false alarms are corrected within hours. So, if this is indeed a false positive detection or something in that direction, reporting it will help streamline the install process of that software for other users as well.
