Green Check Marks in google search results upside down?

When I google something sometimes the check marks are there and sometimes they're not even though I never change my settings in bitdefender or anything.

Today I googled something and the check marks are there but they are upside down for some reason. I'm assuming just a random glitch maybe but it's not just one random search result it's every one I make now. I use mozilla firefox btw.

Just seemed odd is all and I can't find anyone else mentioning this anywhere.

Yesterday, while googling something, i also noticed the same issue.

Today, i googled "facebook" and this is how the check marks appear on all three browsers:

As you can see, in my case, they are also upside down.

All we can do now is to wait for a response from Bitdefender staff.

Yes, I noticed this as well. This is rather curious, since it seems to affect only the main search entries, if there are subentries listed under a search result, they appear normal. We started to check the Google page itself and I found that a simple modification in the CSS style of the page reverts it to normal. Specifically, it looks for now that the Y transform style is … wrong, being set to -1 (reversed) instead of normal; if I apply from the browser developer tools again a -1 transform (so revert the wrong revert), the image appears normal. Whether this is a bug or a side effect from the Google CSS page transformation itself I cannot say at this time for sure, but it appears this way. We will continue to investigate, although if this is caused by a Google page style, I'm not sure yet on how are we to proceed at this time.

experiencing the same issue, now some icons are normal and some tick marks are still in the wrong shape.

Suddenly, today, mine started doing the same thing— UPSIDE DOWN GREEN CHECK MARKS in all my browsers (Chrome, Edge, and Firefox) FOR BITDEFENDER VERIFIED SITES. @Alexandru_BD (admin) said here on behalf of Bitdefender that the problem is currently being investigated, but that was 8 days ago and there haven't been any updates by him or anyone else from Bitdefender since while the problem continues to persist. So what's the situation? If Bitdefender is glitching, is it even protecting me, my data, my computer, etc.?

Green check indicates that your business is reliable and trustworthy by google. Showing green check enhance user's trust and support for businesses. There is no issue in browser or anything.

Search Advisor is a component that rates the results of your search engine queries and the links posted on social networking websites by placing an icon next to every result. A green icon indicates a safe page to visit.

@dvsls a future update is a bit imprecise as to timing, it could be even in a year or more...
Did you mean the next update that will be there, the one after or after that, etc...?
A more precise answer with more precise or more indicative timing would be nice.😊

We all know what the green check indicates. It being there isn't the issue. If you read what's being said here, you'll see the issue is there's a glitch that's making the green checkmark show up upside-down all the time, which means there's something's not right with Bitdefender and how it's working, like maybe it's got a virus. This has been going on for months now and nobody from Bitdefender is addressing it. The only response from Bitdefender was some time back when a moderator said that he was looking into it and would report back but never did.

So, when you say, "There is no issue in browser or anything," that's wrong. There's an issue, a big issue. An issue big enough and perisitent enough without being fixed or even any response from Bitdefender that I'm losing faith in the product and will be going with a different company's security product once my subscription is up.

While that's true, that's beside the point. This thread isn't about people not knowing what the green check mark is, what it signfies, or what Search Advisor is. This thread is reporting a problem with Search Advisor and with the green check mark, a glitch in it that people on a wide scale are experiencing and that a representative from Bitdefender acknowledged in this very thread over a month ago and said he would report back but never did.

It's not that everybody here doesn't know what those green check marks are for. It's that everyone here is reporting that the green check marks are showing up incorrectly, upside down, which points to Bitdefender, to some degree, not running correctly, so people are losing confidence in the product, especially since it's been going on for months now and Bitdefender has neither fixed it so that Bitdefender is working correctly and showing the icon correctly nor even reported back with status of when it would fix it, as promised back on May 8.

I am looking in issue management and the issue has been fixed and it will be released in the next update. Most likely around the end of the month, although I cannot guarantee an exact date.

Let's hope it's fixed soon, because it's a minor bug as the functionality is working, but it's really ugly to see and takes away importance from a product that excels in protection.

Yes, as this discussion shows, there's indeed a problem with how the checkmarks are being displayed and this has been acknowledged, reproduced and fixed for a while, we just have to wait until the next update is released, because it will include other fixes and improvements as well, so this update is not only about the Search Advisor issue. This is a regular scheduled update which may include other changes as well, as with any other update.

You're absolutely right and thank you for clarifying the real issue here. When a core feature like Search Advisor shows signs of malfunction and the company goes silent after promising an update, it sends the wrong message.
