Bitdefender VPN is not connecting to the internet. I've tried reinstalling but get an error code. I have attempted to open the Bitdefender web site, but get a blank page.

Have you tried a different protocol? Go to "settings" then "advanced" then "protocol".
Otherwise change your DNS of whichever adaptor you use to connect to your modem/router to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 then reboot your PC and see if this works.
What is the error code?
