Android 12 Moto g22 Web Protection (not)

Web Protection will not stay on. I turn it on in the app but if I move away from the app and then back again it has turned itself off.

This seems to be a (very) ongoing issue as there are many posts on the subject of inactive web protection.

I have tried the fixes I've found suggested, the app has unrestricted battery access (can't be set to anything else) but to no avail. I appear to be permanently unprotected?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the web protection working consistently?

This is really disappointing as the rest of the app functionality looks good.

Yes, I tried the steps in the article but still have the problem.

Web protection will immediately turn off as soon as I move away from the app and back to it.

I see. I have no experience with Moto whatsoever, but I assume the OS is killing the process in the background, like it happens with many other apps on Samsung, for example - https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung

Unfortunately, this is not really a BMS issue and if the basic troubleshooting steps don't make a difference, I would ask for a more advised opinion from Bitdefender Support: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/

That's exactly what has happened but I still have the problem.

Waiting for contact from support and will report back when resolved.
