How to disable scan on newly attached device

I backup my system to various external drives. These drives are not connected to my PC unless I am performing a backup. Once I attach them to perform a backup, Bitdefender automatically scans them. When the backup is completed, the computer doesn't want to disconnect them because they are in use. Is there a way to control this automatic scan?
Sometimes I can catch it and stop it but other times not. It doesn't seen to show on my dashboard.
Since these drives are not updated in between backups, there is no reason to scan them each time they are attached.

To stop Bitdefender from automatically scanning external drives, you can disable the feature.

Thank you so much. The settings hierarchy is different on Bitdefender Total Security, but this showed me what to look for. Thanks again!
