Hello Bitdefender Community,
I’m really impressed with how Bitdefender handles web protection, especially on Android — but I recently noticed something worth discussing.
While links opened in full browsers (like Chrome or Samsung Internet) are properly scanned by Web Protection, links opened within in-app browsers (such as Outlook, Gmail, YouTube, and even Facebook) don’t always trigger Bitdefender’s link analysis in time.
My questions and suggestions:
1.Can Web Protection expand coverage to common in-app browsers?
2.Would it be feasible to introduce a toggle to enforce “open links externally”?
3.Any known workarounds to maximize security while using apps like Outlook?
I’d love to hear from other users and Bitdefender staff. This feature could further enhance protection — especially with phishing attacks becoming more app-integrated these days.
