DISAPPOINTMENT

Bitdefender works great, but their accounting and extortionary practices of renewing is becoming absolute sh*t. They offered me a deal on early renewal which I accepted and paid for, yet they have now auto-renewed my other account despite me previously turning that off.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you are disappointed. I had a look at your account and it seems that you now have two Premium Security subscriptions overlapping in the Central account. First there's the new one, and secondly the one that was automatically renewed. The problem: when you renewed your protection manually by placing a new order, the validity didn't merge by default, so the previous subscription also got renewed at its due date. But this can be corrected of course and I've asked one of our commercial support representatives to get in touch with you today. Also, after checking the records, I noticed that the automatic renewal feature was disabled after the actual renewal took place and not before, otherwise the automatic billing would not have taken place.

Context: recently, the Bitdefender portfolio was revised to include individual and family plans for most of its offerings. You previously had the older version of Premium Security. Because the new version is slightly different in structure, as it belongs to the new plans (but identical in terms of protection), the two could not be extended as one, as this would have solved the initial problem of being double-charged. But like I've said, the Support teams will fix this and it's only a matter of time.

If at the end of the day you are satisfied with the outcome, I would greatly appreciate if you could reconsider that "bad" review, because this did not happen out of bad intent and this unfortunate situation will be corrected soon, with due apologies.
