Hello,
Isn't that a software agent part of Huntress Managed Security Platform? Did you search online for more information? How was this installed on your device in the first place, and do you use your computer for work or for household use?
Hi,
It is, as I understand, security software.
Not sure where it came from (I did not install it)
I use the laptop for work and home.
It uses a good bit of memory and seeing that I have Bitdefender, I want to understand if I can uninstall Huntress. The internet is not very helpful in that regard.
If you didn't install it, maybe your employer did, because as far as I understand, Huntress is an enterprise-grade cybersecurity platform. If your device was handed to you by them, it's quite possible that the company installed this type of protection on all the work devices, as per their security policies, and you should ask them first before attempting to uninstall the software (in any case, I think its removal will require administrative rights). But if it's a personal device and you got it with Huntress previously installed, and you've installed Bitdefender already, then sure, it would actually be wise to remove Huntress, because having two or more security solutions installed on the device may cause performance issues.
thanks
