I managed to login to the forum just now with 2FA, on the first attempt, and didn't have any problem.
My speculation: perhaps a brief IT outage in the BD website backend.
Sometimes copy-and-paste from emails won't work because/if it includes (invisible) spaces or end-of-line characters. But I gather that besides copy-and-paste you also typed the code in 'manually'.

It might be that's you copy pasted it with a empty space before the code, I get that to sometimes.
