Latest ios update - now cannot search internet with vpn on?

Ios macOS Sequoia 15.6

Tried the usual fixes: clear history, check connection, restart, verify enabled javascript, checked extensions.

Only thing that works to search is to turn off the VPN. Believe there something not quite matching with the newest update since this happened right after.

It's unclear to me what happens there, are the results not displayed during any search, does the search fail to load, or what exactly? Also, are you using any adblockers? If not, check in the VPN extension, there's an adblocker and anti-tracker included, make sure these are turned off, just to test.
