Removing device from Central

If I remove a Windows device from Bitdefender Central, what does the user of that device see? Is there a popup saying that Bitdefender is no longer valid? Or something else that happens? I need to remove a device but need to know what will happen on the other end afterward, in case there are questions.

Hello.

I removed my device (Asus laptop) from my Bitdefender Central account.

According to this article:

"Removing a device from your Central account will sign out all Bitdefender programs that are still installed on that particular device.".

But, after removing the device i didn't receive any pop-up notification on my screen that i'm signed out.

Strange thing is that i'm still signed in my Bitdefender program installed on that device and under My Account in my BD Total Security program, i can still see my Bitdefender subscription details (name and surname, e-mail, my device name, my subscription and subscription expiration).

Hi,

Did you restart that machine? I think it may take some time for the UI to update and it should display that the respective device is at risk, because the device was removed from the subscription. This of course doesn't remove Bitdefender from that device, but it will no longer work.

I didn't restart the device.

I waited for maybe 15 minutes, but the Bitdefender program was still signed in to my Bitdefender Central account. Even the taskbar icon was displaying "You are safe".

And if you logout from your account in the Bitdefender UI and log back in, does it still display "You are protected", or does it change to "At risk"?

I can't logout in the Bitdefender UI, i can only switch accounts in the Bitdefender UI.

For the record, i just removed my Android phone from my Bitdefender Central account.

After few seconds, i opened BD Mobile Security on my phone and i was asked to sign in to my Btdefender account.

@shadowknight was right, removing the device from Central, doesn't automatically log out the account on the Bitdefender software installed on that PC.
