My received Outlook emails suddenly have no content. From to subject just a lot of text that makes no sense to me. Hopefully I can attach a recently received email. If I do please let me know if it is something I need to do?
Can I upload an actual email to this site?
That looks strange. I haven't seen something like that before. When exactly did this behavior start? For example, after installing Bitdefender or other software on the device? After an update? If you think the antivirus might have something to do with this, you may contact Bitdefender Support directly and attach an email sample/screenshot on the ticket. You can use this link to get in touch with them:
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/
State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.

Update: the development teams are looking into this, as we've received several reports on the forum.
Thank you for your patience.
Same issue. This all started Monday evening at some point across multiple PCs in the house and is only on POP addresses in Outlook/MS365. IMAP @gmail accounts are fine.
Backed off to a previous version of Outlook(July) to see if it was an office patch and that didn't fix it.
Eventually saw another online post about it and it pointed to Bitdefender and disabling 'Encrypted Web Scan'.
Confirmed this 'gets around the issue' to where the emails come in again properly on the POP accounts.
Was BF updated Monday with something that broke some functionality?
Thank you for your reply, sorry for not replying sooner but this is giving me big problems. Outlook was fine on Saturday 9th Aug but when I attempted to download my emails on Monday the problem was there.
I have not re-installed BD in fact I have done nothing with it for some time.
Seems others are having the same erratic problem, to me it seems that some emails are in 'code' like the old dos, or as the (raw?) building blocks that construct a website.
I read somewhere to turn off BD scam guard (Not sure if that's the right app from BD) I will look at my BD central dashboard. I have noticed that there are timing issues, not sure how to explain this. An email sent from my main BT account via Outlook to another 2 of my accounts both show the sent time of 10:03 in these accounts the received time shows as 10:05. both are fine.
I received a bunch of emails overnight from MS Q&A relating to this problem they are all okay on my phone but when downloaded to my Outlook all are not okay. I think there are some time issues but need to do some comparisons.

@Alexandru_BD
If it helps, everything started (for me in EU) early morning 12th, after manual update the night before.
regardless of the mail client. But if I log into webmail and send the same (plain text recieved) msg to myself, it will come intact.

Yeah, any details are certainly most helpful, as everyone is trying to follow the chain of events here and come up with a solution, so all feedback is of course valuable. Thanks!
Hi,
Has there been a fix for this yet?
I have been experiencing the same issues for the last 3 days.
Not yet, it may take a while, but it's being handled as we speak.
4 days is a long "while" … customers already starting to uninstal BD and canceling s
This is totally unacceptable, it has caused big issues and loss of orders. how do you expect anyone to work like this
They reverted the changes made in the last signature update and this should do the trick until a permanent fix is deployed.
I wondered if using Thunderbird would work, seemingly not.

Thank you for the update. Do we need to reboot our PC's or BD or will the changes be active now?
Click on update in systray and reboot. But keep in mind this change is being rolled out gradually, so it may not reach everyone at the same time..
