My subscription has access to VPN but it does not stay connected and I cant re-connect unless I choose the Upgrade message box that comes up. I'm not paying more money and want the VPN service that I'm currently paying for. Please fix this

What subscription do you have, exactly? Does it include the standard VPN, or the Premium version? I'm asking because obviously the upgrade window should not be displayed in the event you are already using the Premium VPN. This will be displayed if the daily traffic quota per device for the standard VPN was used, so whenever the threshold of 200mb is reached, the upgrade recommendation pops up. This is by design. However, if you haven't actually used the VPN that day and this message is still displayed, there's a chance that some apps/websites are running in the background while the VPN remained connected without your knowledge (or if you have it set to autoconnect, for example), and this may consume the daily allocated traffic..
