4 days now, outlook inbox getting emails in MIME format

I have been troubleshooting random emails arriving in inboxes, 5 users, that are in mime format, and yesturday, a blank email as well.

I have focused on one pc, and after removing Bitdefender, I believe the problem went away.

I think.

I just got notified that when an outgoing email is sent and the laptop user is CC'ed in, they are gettinng the MIME formatted email, and as Bitdefender is still on that senders pc, it could be effecting the outgoing emails too.

I have tried many things, repair PST,

Update Office 365

Update windows

Disable Bitdefender.

Remove Bitdefender

I have now run out of ideas.

According to @Alexandru_BD, who works for Bitdefender, this is a known bug and this is his reply on another post:

"This is being investigated as we speak. We've seen several reports on the forum, but also on other forums and most certainly the Support teams have had their fair share, so the situation is being addressed by the development teams.".

It's curious that the issue manifests itself even when Bitdefender is uninstalled..

I'm just curious, uninstalled via the Control Panel or uninstalled using the Uninstall Tool?

I am thinking that Bitdefender is also messing up the email formatting when sending, because sender in the company had it installed, sent a mail, and CC'ed the laptop I am focusing on that does not have Bitdefendert

Uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

It will completely remove the program.

Hello,

There are multiple threads on this topic right now, so I'll do my best to share this information across all of them, so please, if you know people affected by this issue or if you came across this topic on other forums, it would help the community to spread the word.
The developers reverted the changes made in the last signature update and this should do the trick until a permanent fix is deployed. Just click on update in systray and reboot once completed. But keep in mind this change is being rolled out gradually, so it may not reach everyone at the same time..
