Bitdefender VPN on iPhone causing random disconnects — anyone else seeing this?

I’ve been using Bitdefender VPN on my iPhone (iOS 17.5.1), and recently I’ve noticed that it randomly disconnects in the background without showing any warning. The icon disappears, but the app still shows “connected” until I manually refresh it.

This gets tricky because I’ll only realize it when I check my network traffic or try to access region-locked content. I already reinstalled the app and reset network settings, but the issue keeps happening.

Has anyone else run into this? Could it be related to iOS background activity restrictions, or is this more likely a VPN server-side problem? Any reliable fixes or workarounds you’ve found?

On my iPhone, both Bitdefender VPN and Bitdefender Mobile Security for iOS are working perfectly. You should try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Bitdefender apps on your iPhone to see if that helps. If not, you’ll need to contact Bitdefender support regarding your query.
