I’ve had the same problem before—Bitdefender Central doesn’t actually show billing or payment options. The auto-renewal is handled through their payment partner (usually 2Checkout/Verifone). If you look back at the original purchase email, there should be a link to manage your subscription where you can turn off auto-renewal. If you can’t find it, you can also go straight to the 2Checkout/Verifone website and log in with the email you used to buy Bitdefender, and you’ll see the billing and renewal settings there.
I have recently turned off auto renew. Its: "My subscriptions" section, then "My Payments" then on the right side is a link that says "Manage your Subscription Renewal Options". Click on that and then it's obvious. My objection is not with the auto renew so much as the lack of communication. It just renews and charges my card without reminding me or indicating that I will be charged. I will still renew when it's time but this time they will need to ask. And when you turn off auto renew they act like you are canceling your subscription. "Sorry to see you go" .. I'm not going anywhere, i just want to be informed before I am charged.
