ATC4.Detection is not a signature based detection created by Bitdefender malware researchers. Instead, Advanced Threat Control (ATC) is a security feature that monitors running processes on a computer to detect and stop suspicious activities. It watches for behaviors such as a process disguising itself, tampering with other processes, replicating, dropping files, or hiding from detection tools. Each suspicious action increases the process's risk score, and if the score gets too high, ATC triggers an alarm to block the potential threat. This detection usually occurs in Bitdefender business and enterprise products, but it may also appear in Bitdefender consumer products.

Since Advanced Threat Control (ATC) is not based on signatures created by Bitdefender malware researchers, detections made by ATC won’t appear under the Bitdefender engine on VirusTotal.

The Bitdefender engine on VirusTotal only shows detections from Bitdefender traditional signature-based engine—basically, malware samples that Bitdefender researchers have identified and created signatures for.

Nevertheless, if you believe a website or file has been incorrectly blocked by Bitdefender, you can submit the details to Bitdefender  malware researchers by filling out the form at the link below:

If the website or file is found to be incorrectly blocked, the detection will be removed within a maximum of 72 hours. However, if the detection persists after 72 hours, the website or file will be considered malicious, as determined by Bitdefender malware research team, and the detection will remain.
