Why doesn’t SecurePass activate in Chrome, even with the extension installed?

I’m encountering a limitation with SecurePass that affects my workflow. While the extension functions within Microsoft Edge, I often need to work exclusively in Google Chrome. Unfortunately, SecurePass does not activate in Chrome, despite the extension being installed and visible in the extensions list.

I’ve already confirmed the following:

• The SecurePass Chrome extension is installed and enabled.
• I attempted to pin it to the Chrome toolbar, but it does not appear or respond.
• Autofill and credential access do not trigger in Chrome, even on sites where they work in Edge.

This behavior suggests that SecurePass may not be fully integrated or recognized by Chrome, or that a background service is failing to initialize. If there’s a known workaround—such as a manual trigger, alternate extension version, or compatibility setting. I’d appreciate your guidance.

I’m documenting this issue as part of a broader digital stewardship effort for my family, so clarity and reliability are essential. Please advise if this is a known limitation, and whether a fix or escalation path is available.

Just to confirm a few things:

• which version of the extension do you have installed? 1.2.6 is our latest version
• When you say it does not activate, do you mean that when accessing sites where autofill should trigger, that simply does not happen?
• Do you see the SecurePass icon in any of the fields, like you see in Edge? What happens when you click on it - does a drop-down with the usual accounts appear?
• do the accounts have the "Default autofill" option enabled on them? Can you try disabling and re-enabling it again and see if that works?
