I recently reinstalled my windows 10 PC using the windows 10 media creation tool with the setting keep all my files and apps, after installing all the windows 10 updates I installed the latest bitdefender total security version 27.0.54.272 and now have different results when running a systemscan.
Before the reinstall the systemscan results where about 2.4 million items scanned and 933 password protected files. When I ran a custom scan before the reinstall the results where 3 million items scanned and 1263 password protected files.
After the reinstall and fully updated windows 10 the systemscan results now are 1.7 million items scanned and only 603 password protected files. When running a custom scan the results now are 2.7 million items scanned and still 1263 password protected files.
How is it that the systemscan now shows about 330 less password protected files but the custom scan still shows the same amount of password protected files?
I do have to note that before the reinstall of windows I still had version 27.0.54.271 installed so I don't know if this password protected discrepancy is because of the windows 10 reinstall or the newest version 27.0.54.272 of bitdefender.
It has been in the past with older versions of bitdefender always 933 password protected files never been 603.
Why this discrepancy in the password protected files result?
