please tell me what could be causing this?

Hello I was wondering why these domains are none stop requesting data. by these i mean yours. what do they do? I have none of your software on my pc. I use ESET.

if a mod wants to relocate my thread that would be cool. if that is possible.. thank you. also i used Pihole dns adblocker to see whatever this is. i normally use it to block ads for my phone so my battery doesnt melt when i look at a news article. not really look at dns traffic normally.

I only have ESET on 3 computers not bit defender. 2 of the 3 are off most of the time so are all the phones while these requests are still constant. i will check if my router has something but i doubt it and i don't use a vpn.

my nas is a debian install it doesn't do this kind of thing. I'm not surprised there are people that use two but I don't use two anti virus softwares.

also it looks like im getting constant barrage of ips trying to access my nas which is powered off at the moment... does this mean a hacker is disguising his traffic as you people or is this actually you? i really need to figure out what this is. its not any of my devices..

📌 Port 2171 isn’t linked to any standard service — and is often flagged in scans or malicious probing. You’re not being directly DDoSed per se, but your public IP might have been indexed by automated crawlers scanning the internet for open ports.

Check your router for UPnP and disable it if not needed.
Remove any port forwarding rules you're no longer using (especially for 51413, 2171, etc.).

isnt upnp used for gaming and lots of networking? are you saying i should keep this disabled? my pihole software is off right now as its installed to my nas and that is powered off. rebooting your modem changes your public ip? guess i will do that..then chat with xfinity to see if they can change my ip? firewall rules?

there was no installation of bitdefender on the nas i dont even know if its possible. the os is a cut down version debian called dietpi. https://dietpi.com/ I use it as a samba share a pihole dns ad blocker and a home assistant installation that is all. either way i feel like something is weird with it…i think im going to reinstall the os.. also since i turned of my nas again the requests stopped. it seems like this could be the problem..still dont know how if this is the what..

i looked at most of the [DoS Attack: RST Scan] ips and most of them are from sites like social media or streaming. guessing those arent actual dos attacks. Ill leave a msg when i get around to formating my nas n let u know if i get this weirdness afterwards.. thank you for the help.

the first one is from a chinese mobile company. (a little confused)

the second is from cloudflare which is normal. its my second dns server that my router uses when my nas is powered off due to it being the dns server with pihole.

i have reinstalled dietpi on a raspberry pi i left my nas off. also this machine doesn't have HA installed. so only samba and pihole. I just checked and dietpi doesnt use it at all so there cant be any kind of module or anything anywhere. im getting tired of this..and im already tired of bit defender.
