Users lost the ability to write to external drives

We never used any content control or USB control in our policies

We have a number for reported users on Windows 11 where Gravity zone client is installed, are unable to copy any files to external USB devices.

The error they get is :

"The Disk is write-protected
Remove the Write protection or use another disk."

We tried the same usb devices on laptops that never had Gravity zone installed adn they worked normaly read/write

I removed the client from the laptops and still the same issue.

Any help with this, as its really frustrating.

Hello @Ayman Korban ,

Please verify if Device Control is enabled and what permissions are set for External Storage. If this is set to read-only or block this would not allow to copy files to the USB storage.

If this is not the case you can open a support ticket at https://www.bitdefender.com/en-us/support/contact-us and one of my colleagues can look into it in more details.
