just bought "total security" product. Security and VPNstandard are installed. Marketing included a password manager, but I can only find SecurePass for additional $$. How do I install the password manager included with the "total security" level??

As far as i know, recently the Bitdefender portfolio was revised to include individual and family plans for most of its offerings.
I have BD Premium Security subscription active, which includes BD SecurePass for free, so i can't tell if BD SecurePass is also included in BD Total Security subscription.
On the same issue, check out this comment:
I'm confused, because you just bought the Total Security subscription, which should include Password Manager for free, which is not in your case. Maybe, that subscription includes Password Manager, not SecurePass.

Perhaps you've purchased Bitdefender from a reseller and they sold this previous version only, so not the one which includes a password manager? I think the Support teams should be able to clarify this based on the proof of purchase / invoice. You can ask them using the link below:

State your contact reason / choose request category, then choose from the available contact channels, chat, phone and email/ticket. Chat would be the fastest way to reach them.
For the record, I wasn't able to trace an order ID (this is for Bitdefender website purchases only), hence my assumption that the license was purchased elsewhere and may not include a password manager.
Again, the most sure way to find out is to get in touch with Bitdefender Support. I would be nice if you could share their response here as well, so we can close the loop on this thread once it's resolved.
