I copied the link to protect another device (for my son) but when he download and set it up it is still showing the free version despite my subscription is a premium? even when it asks him to create an account it is still free version. Please advise
Hello.
ONLY Bitdefender staff can have access to your Bitdefender Central account, your devices, your payments/purchases and/or your subscription(s).
So, you should contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by chat, telephone or e-mail:
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/
Chat is the fastest way to get in touch with Bitdefender Consumer Support.
Select: Purchase & Manage Subscription -> My Bitdefender Central Account, click on Contact Support in the black box and then click on Chat 24/7.
NOTE: Bitdefender telephone support is not toll-free!
Also, @Alexandru_BD, who works for Bitdefender, can take a look here and help you with the issue.
Regards.
Hi,
I think he is probably logged into another account.. The installed Bitdefender software must be linked with your Central account, where the subscription is running. Try to use the switch account feature in the Bitdefender UI to log the software in. Assuming that Bitdefender was successfully installed, or even previously installed on that device, double-click the desktop shortcut to open the Bitdefender security solution dashboard. Click the account/profile icon in the top right corner, then click the Switch Account button to change the account linked to the computer. There, sign in with the e-mail address and the password of your Central account. Your credentials aren't normally requested when protecting other devices using a link, but in this case it might help. However, if this doesn't make a difference, perhaps you need to start the installation from scratch, and possibly remove all traces of Bitdefender on that machine before trying again. If it comes to that, you'll find the uninstall tool relevant to your Bitdefender suite here:

Let us know how it goes.
