i get this error for all web addresses
Firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection.
Any suggestions?

Before assuming a software conflict, try another device on the same network and check if it connects. If not, restart your router/modem. If other devices connect, the issue is clearly on that PC. Corrupted TCP/IP or Winsock settings can cause this. Run CMD as Administrator, then type these one by one:
netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ipconfig /flushdns
Then restart your computer and check if sites open again. If the issue persists, another thing to check would be the firewall. Temporarily turn OFF the firewall in Bitdefender and see if browsing starts working.
