Does Bitdefender Free clean at boot-up?

For the first and only time, I saw a strangely generic block of white text when booting up my Windows 11 Lenovo laptop. It read along the lines of the linked post, but was laid out with slightly different text. Still along the rather generic lines of "your" so-and-so "antivirus" is cleaning.

Is this a legitimate part of Bitdefender? Can someone maybe show me - if it is - what that screen looks like so I can verify? When I look through my notifications on Bitdefender Antivirus Free I see no alert around that date+time, which is why I was a little disturbed and came to ask here for help.

Did you check your notification history to see if anything was detected before turning on/restarting your PC?
This usually happens the first time you restart or turn on your PC after malware is detected.

Don't worry.
I verified this feature in my various tests. After I ran a malware infection, Bitdefender Free intervened promptly to remove or disinfect the malware, and a notification appeared in the bottom right. In some cases, when a deeper cleanup is needed, the first time you restart or turn on your PC, this additional cleanup is performed before Windows loads. This is an excellent feature, even for a free product.

It gives you greater security.

If I understand, the screen you're referring to, which is in DOS (black) with white writing, is legitimate Bitdefender.
It cleans before Windows loads.
This happens following any infections or malware detections for more thorough removal/disinfection.
It occurs in all Bitdefender products, both paid and free.

It seems plausible certainly, but is it not odd that there is no alert in the desktop app's notifications area? It also surely would be less alarming if Bitdefender put their name in the screen. Thank you for your quick reply by the way.

I took some time to figure out the most recent possible time i restarted my computer and yes that would make sense. In retrospect that was obvious!
