A vulnerability scan is suggesting that I should install Microsoft Defender updates. Do I need to install the Updates for Microsoft Defender?

Generally, if you install Bitdefender products alongside Microsoft Defender, u would still receive knowledge base-updates for Defender, Microsoft malicious software removing tool or other MS security updates. Vulnerability scanner checks under Operation system, if all critical Windows updates are installed. If not it's not the case, it defines as vulnerability issue, cause you system is not fully patched. Possible workaround is to perform updates regularly (at least for Microsoft Defender or security updates).

Thank you for the article but it really does not answer my question as to why Microsoft Defender Antivirus needs to be updated if it is not actually doing anything since Bitdefender is supposed to have disabled Microsoft Defender Antivirus.
My guess is I will just not worry about it and let Microsoft do what it wants.
