After Bitdefender Update Windows startup is lagging and tray icon greyed out [Fixed in next update]

Windows startup is lagging, Bitdefender is greyed and services are not responding after BD Update. I reinstalled Bitdefender, but the bug persists.

Hi dvsls,

unfortunately it didnt fix it for me. I still get a delay when i login in windows and then, when the pc is responding again, the Bitdefender is greyed out. Sometimes it does load the services but the delay problem when logging in in Windows persists.

I reinstalled but still the same bug. Im sure its Bitdefender, because it used to work in this pc without any problems. Also i unistalled it and tested Windows defender and other AV (AVG, ESET, Kaspersky) and all worked like a charm without any delays during startup.

The update has not been released yet. The new version will be higher than 27.0.55.303, which is currently available. It is scheduled for next week.

I have been telling this for months about delays and they said it was my pc that had problems, yeah right !

With other AV's my pc always starts fast, except for BD who had delays.

I started having issues in December after doing a mobo bios update and fresh install of Win 11 pro. At first I thought it was the bios update on my mobo, rolled back, same thing, start up was lagging. My rig would take 9 to 10 seconds to start up. never had issues with BD, been using it for years now.

Went to windows 11 forums to get some help, tried all the fixes nothing works. I stumbled on this thread and seen that some people were having the same issues. I uninstalled BD a to test if it was Bd that was causeing all the issues, and load and behold issue were gone, my rig started up fast.

Admin says there will be a fix for it next week, crossing my fingers! 🤞

Try a manual update now, there's a new version 27.0.56.308 rolling out.
